Four questions, one screen
How do reps earn? What must be true before a deal pays? When does commission come back? Who gets an override? Every plan is those four questions, and the builder organizes rules exactly that way: components, validations, clawbacks, overrides. Toggle a rule off, edit its numbers inline, and the next pay cycle picks it up.
Every run remembers its rules
Each pay cycle keeps a copy of the exact rules in force when it calculated. Change a rate mid-quarter and the old cycles still answer for themselves: “what was active when Alice got paid in May?” is a click, not an archaeology project. These are people's paychecks; the history is not optional.
