Careers

Two seats open.
Zero foosball tables.

Commish is a small team un-f#cking commission pay for the industries everyone else ignores. If that’s your kind of fight, keep reading.

Why This Fight

What you actually get here.

The mission fits on a bumper sticker

Don't f#ck with people's pay. That's it. You will never sit through a slide explaining our five values.

Stakes, immediately

What you ship this week calculates someone's actual paycheck on Friday. Very clarifying. Occasionally terrifying. Mostly clarifying.

No layers

Twenty customers, a short roadmap, and founders who answer their own email. The distance between 'good idea' and 'in production' is measured in days.

Small by design

We hire deliberately and rarely. If a seat is on this page, we mean it — and the person who reads your application is on the About page.

Open Roles

The two seats.

Founding Engineer

Full-stack · TypeScriptRemote

Own features end to end — data model to pixel — on software where the numbers are people's pay. TypeScript, Next.js, Postgres. The engine calculates in integer cents, every payout carries a receipt, and the test suite is treated like a load-bearing wall.

You’ll

  • Ship product weekly across the calculation engine, the web app, and the data layer.
  • Build for auditability first: every feature answers “can a rep see why?”
  • Work directly with founders and real customer problems — no ticket conveyor belt.

You

  • Senior enough to own ambiguity; allergic to floating-point money math.
  • You've built things people rely on. Bonus points: you've been personally burned by a commission spreadsheet.

Founding Account Executive

Full-cycle · Mid-marketRemote

Sell the antidote. Payments ISOs, insurance agencies, telecom resellers, solar — verticals where commission pain is structural and the incumbent is a spreadsheet. Full-cycle: prospect, demo, close, and shape the playbook you'll eventually hand to the team behind you.

You’ll

  • Run your patch end to end with founder support — the industry pages on this site are your opening lines.
  • Demo a product you can actually drive, priced in one sentence ($50/rep, admins free).
  • Feed what you hear straight into the roadmap; the engineers sit one Slack message away.

You

  • You've sold into at least one of our verticals, or you've carried a bag on comp weird enough to resent it.
  • You like selling something honest — our comparison pages tell prospects when to buy the other product, and that has to feel like an advantage to you, not a handicap.

Not one of these, but sure you belong here? Make the case. Short and specific beats long and polished.
